Kaanso

Kaanso means dragonfly in the Thai North Eastern dialect. The shape of this bench thus was inspired from the silhouette of the insect’s wings.

The black and white pattern created by the cords wrapped around each rattan frame is Kitt.Ta.Khon’s interpretation of woven techniques exploration. From African techniques to macrame to southeast asian wicker work, Kaanso has pushed handcraft design beyond cultures.
